Librarians have begun to take on a leading role in the support of open educational resources (OER). Whether they are starting a small service or leading a large program, librarians supporting OER are making a huge impact on the access to information. Open education librarians might support OER in many ways, and librarians who do not have OER in their job duties can also make great partners for the promotion and sharing of these resources. In this presentation, I share examples of how a mature OER program supports instructors using OER and why librarians are particularly well-suited to leading OER programs.
